With less than a week remaining before the inaugural Warriors for Hope campaign comes to an end, Beacon for Hope Executive Director Melissa Owen is very pleased with the results of this year’s event.
As of Monday, the event has generated right around $5,000 in donations that will go to boost Beacon’s efforts in the local community. Owen says the money is great, but even more impressive is the level of awareness it has raised.
Owen tells KVOE News plans are already in the works to grow the campaign next year.
The campaign will continue through Friday. The conclusion to Warriors for Hope comes as Beacon has now moved into its new home at 529 Commercial Suite 7 as part of the Social Innovation Laboratory.
Owen will be discussing the move and the agency’s upcoming Masquerade Ball when she joins KVOE’s Talk of Emporia on Halloween. For more information on Beacon For Hope or how to donate to the Warriors For Hope Campaign visit Hopelinks.org or call 620-258-8627.
