The Kansas City Royals defeated the Cleveland Guardians 5-2 in 10 innings Monday night.
Drew Waters hit a 3-run home run in the 10th inning to give the Royals the win.
Waters also drove in the Royals’ 1st run with a single in the 2nd inning.
Bobby Witt Jr picked up his 30th stolen base. He becomes the 5th player 22 or younger in Major League history to have 20 or more home runs and 30 or more stolen bases in a season. He joins Ronald Acuna, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Mike Trout.
The Royals and Guardians play again Tuesday evening. Daniel Lynch makes the start for the Royals with the first pitch set for 5:10 pm.
