A pair of defense requests were granted during a review hearing for a man accused of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy in Lyon County.
Gerald Travis Todd appeared in Lyon County District Court for an attorney review hearing where it was announced he is being represented by attorney Paul Dean. Dean made a trio of bond modification requests on Todd’s behalf including removing GPS monitoring which was denied.
A request to allow contact with members of Todd’s family who are listed as witnesses for the prosecution in his case and a request to reschedule his preliminary hearing were both approved. Todd’s next appearance will be for a prelim hearing at 2 pm Nov. 23.
Todd faces two rape counts and four counts of aggravated criminal sodomy dating back to an alleged incident in late August. Todd is charged with sexual activity with an adult who was incapable of giving consent because of unspecified use of alcohol and/or drugs.
