The Emporia Granada Theatre is getting set to launch a “complete search” for a new permanent director very soon.
That’s according to Granada Board of Directors Member Mike Helbert on KVOE’s Newsmaker 3 segment Wednesday.
Helbert says they are looking for candidates with some level of experience given the hefty work load that comes with the director position.
The search follows the announcement earlier this year that the Granada had parted ways with former director Rebeca Herrera who led the Granada from 2019 to this past August. Stacey Schneider has been serving as interim director since that time.
An exact timeline for the director search is currently pending. Wednesday’s announcement comes just ahead of the Big Head Todd and the Monster’s concert at the theatre Saturday evening.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 pm with tickets ranging in price from $20 to $60. You can purchase tickets online at Emporiagranda.com or at the Granada Box Office at 805 Commercial Street.
