Renovations are coming to the David Traylor Zoo Education Center, meaning a temporary home for the zoo’s office.
Director Lisa Keith says a much-needed renovation is coming to the Zoo Education Center.
Construction was made possible by the zoo’s nearly $5 million Oasis capital campaign responsible for other renovations and enhancements at the zoo the past two years.
Keith says all the zoo animals, including the ambassador animals — those available for classroom activities — will remain at the zoo. However, as construction begins and then continues, visitors and the ambassador animals will come to The Pressroom for class activities. Other traditional zoo business like memberships or donations will be handled at The Pressroom, and the gift shop has also moved to The Pressroom.
