Medicare’s open enrollment period begins Saturday, and residents are encouraged to keep part of Nov. 1 free for a special information town hall.
The town hall, which includes a dinner, will be from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Residents can learn the differences between different plans during the event.
The town hall is free of charge to attend. It’s a collaboration involving Newman Regional Health, K-State Research and Extension and Senior Health Insurance Counselors of Kansas through the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging. Registrations are needed by contacting Newman Regional Health Events Coordinator Michelle Margeson at 620-341-7781 or emargeson@newmanrh.org. Residents can also go online to www.newmanrh.org/medicare.
