Emporia States Tayler Williams set a new course record while finishing in 1st place at the Emporia State Hornet Harrier cross country meet Friday. She finished the Trusler Sports Complex course in 18 minutes 54 seconds.
Senior Hannah Showalter finished in 8th place and Irina Honc finished in 11th place.
As a team, the Emporia State women finished in 2nd place behind Benedictine.
In the Men’s race, Tyler Swift finished in 2nd place overall and was the first collegiate runner to finish.
Henry Jones finished in 4th place and Cody Achilles finished in 5th place. As a team, the Emporia State men finished in 1st place.
Up next for the Emporia State Cross Country teams will be the MIAA meet on November 5th.
