Home sales are up from September 2021 in Emporia.
Sunflower Association of Realtors says last month noted 50 home sales, up from 43 in September 2021. September sales were down slightly from the 58 homes closed in August.
Homes sold last month closed within seven days on average, slightly longer than for August. Supply is at one month, near the August number.
Year-to-date, Emporia has had 371 home sales, down from 402 last year but up from 357 two years ago.
For greater Lyon County, there were 47 home sales, up from 31 in August and 37 in September 2021. Homes were on the market for a week on average before they closed. There is less than a month’s worth of supply.
So far this year, there have been 328 home sales, down from 340 last year but up from 304 in 2020.
