The Salvation Army food pantry is continuing to see an increase in usage as KVOE’s annual Drive for Food coming Thursday.
Food pantry manager Brian Shintaku joined KVOE’s Morning Show on Wednesday to give an update on what the pantry is in need of.
Shintaku added that the Drive for Food comes at the right time as costs for all food items are rising.
Items can still be dropped off at both branches of ESB Financial, ValuNet, Bluestem Farm & Ranch Supply, Country Mart, Good’s Cash Saver, LCAT, Newman Regional Health and the Emporia Chamber of Commerce.
KVOE staffers and volunteers will be by to pick up donations, no matter how large or small beginning at 9 am.
All donations will go to the Salvation Army or Spartan Stop.
