A man accused in Lyon County District Court of aggravated child endangerment and other charges has reached a plea agreement on lesser charges a few days before his trial was supposed to start.
Ethan Nowell was originally facing numerous counts after an alleged incident in late June, including single counts of aggravated child endangerment, aggravated battery, battery, criminal threat, criminal restraint and marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia possession. During the final pretrial hearing Wednesday, Nowell accepted a no-contest plea with one count of aggravated child endangerment as the lead charge, with single counts of attempted aggravated domestic battery and methamphetamine also included. other charges have been dismissed.
Sentencing is at 11 am Dec. 7.
