Election Day is around the corner and many members of the community went to cast their early vote at the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building which is the only offsite voter location on Saturday.
Lyon County Election Officer Tammy Vopat says they wanted to give different options to voters and the new location provides easy access to those who want to vote early.
The Anderson Building voting center opened on Wednesday at 10 am and concluded Saturday at 1 pm with over 700 people who cast their vote for this midterm election.
The deadline for members of the community who want to request their mail ballots is Nov.1. Ballots can be submitted and counted if they are postmarked by Election Day.
In-office voting at the Lyon County Courthouse will start on Monday and continue only on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm until the closing on Nov. 7 at noon.
