The Emporia High volleyball team had its season end Saturday in a Class 5A sub-state final at Bishop Carroll.
Carroll swept the Spartans 25-21, 25-23 in the championship match for a berth in the state tournament.
EHS got the opportunity to play the Golden Eagles for a third time this season after sweeping Arkansas City, 25-20, 29-27.
The Spartans finish their season with a 28-11 record and graduate three seniors, Delaney Adams, Arianna Hamilton, and Rebecca Snyder.
Olpe earned a trip to the 1A Division I State tournament. Olpe defeated Madison in 3 sets 27-15, 21-25, 25-13 in the sub-state championship match.
Lebo earned a trip to the 1A Division II State tournament wiht a 25-10, 25-14 win over Southern Coffey County.
The 1A Division I State tournament will be played in Dodge City.
Division II will be played in Emporia at White Auditorium.
