A second-half rally came up short for the Kansas Jayhawks in a 35-23 loss to Baylor Saturday.
The Jayhawks trailed 28-3 at halftime. Kansas outscored the Bears 20-7 in the 2nd half but could not erase the first-half deficit.
Devin Neal and Jason Bean scored rushing touchdowns for the Jayhawks. Bean also threw a touchdown pass to Quentin Skinner.
Kansas falls to 5 and 3 overall and 2-3 in the Big 12. They have next weekend off. Their next game will be on November 5th against Oklahoma State.
Number 8 ranked TCU outscored 17th ranked Kansas State 38-28 Saturday.
The Wildcats had built a 28-10 first-half lead. TCU scored 28 unanswered points to secure the win.
Kansas State not only lost the game but lost starting quarterback Adrian Martinez in the 1st quarter. Backup Will Howard threw 2 touchdown passes and scored a rushing touchdown. Deuce Vaughn also scored a rushing touchdown.
The Wildcats are now 5-2 for the season and 3-1 in the Big 12. Kansas State plays Oklahoma State next Saturday.
