It’ll be a rematch of a regular season matchup in a regional semifinal Tuesday night for the Emporia High boys soccer team.
The Spartans will take on Valley Center. The two teams met on Sept. 15 with the Spartans taking a 2-0 victory.
Valley Center advanced to Tuesday’s regional semifinal with a 2-0 victory over Great Bend in a play-in game Monday night.
Junior Alex Mosiman says it’ll be challenging to see the Hornets for the second time this season.
Mosiman added they’ll have to play differently than what the Spartans did in September.
Coach Victor Ibarra says they’ve got to worry about themselves.
Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. at Emporia High School. The winner will face either Hays or Andover at the highest seed remaining on Thursday for a regional championship.
