Court proceedings have been delayed for an Americus woman accused of producing child sex abuse materials.
Brandi Snyder was set for trial in federal court to begin Nov. 7. Snyder’s defense team requested a continuance to review the nearly 140 documents and three audio and/or video recordings in the case, and that request was granted Monday. Trial is now set for Jan. 23 in Wichita.
Snyder faces two counts of producing child sexual abuse materials, along with single counts of possession and distribution. She faces 15-30 years in federal prison if convicted of producing child sexual abuse materials. as well as up to 20 years each on the possession and distribution counts.
