Five members of the Emporia State soccer team have been named to the All-MIAA team.
Three are first-team selections, Joanie Westcoat, she is also the Co-Defensive player of the year. Mackenzie Dimarco is a 3-time first-team selection and was a unanimous selection.
Hannah Woolery is a two-time first-team selection.
Aislinn Hughes is a second-team selection and Abby Bachman received an honorable mention.
The Lady Hornets are the number 2 seed in the MIAA tournament and will host Northeastern State Sunday in the first round.
The first official regional rankings were released on Wednesday. Emporia State is ranked fourth in the Central region. Joining ESU from the MIAA in this week’s rankings are Central Missouri, Fort Hays State, Central Oklahoma, Northwest Missouri State, and Washburn.
