The Emporia State football team celebrated Homecoming with a 42-14 win over Fort Hays State Saturday.
The Hornets scored on their first 5 possessions.
Coach Garin Higgins said that was how they wanted to start the game.
Quarterback Braden Gleason threw 4 touchdown passes on the day.
Runningback Billy Ross Jr scored two rushing touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass.
Jaylen Varner caught 2 touchdown passes.
Tyler Kahmann also caught a touchdown pass.
The Hornets have now won 5 games in a row and improved to 7 and 2 for the season. They will play at Lincoln next Saturday.
