Kansas coach Lance Leipold said the bye week was beneficial for the Jayhawks.

In Manhattan, the 13th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats take on Texas. K-State is 6-2 and 4-1 in the Big 12. Texas is 5-3 and 3-2 in league play.
K-State coach Chris Klieman said Texas will give the Wildcats a challenge.
