Back to normal and with a new pancake sale format, the Emporia Christian School 28th Annual pancake feed had a great turnout Saturday morning.
The low temperatures did not stop members of the community to go and enjoy the new format ECS implement this year of all-you-can-eat-pancakes for $5 additionally to participate in a silent auction of over 100 items.
Marcy Shirk who is the secretary of the Parent Teacher Organization and 7th and 8th-grade teacher at Emporia Christian School says the goal of the fundraiser this year is to increase family involvement and new learning experiences for the students.
Jennifer Hart a PTO member and parent says she feels happy with how the event turnout and that compared to previous years this one was the biggest one they had.
Totals of the pancake feed and silent auction are still pending.
