The number 5 ranked Kansas Jayhawks opened their season with an 89-64 win over Omaha last night.
After a back-and-forth start, the Jayhawks used a 12-2 run in the first half to take a lead they would not give up.
KU had five players score in double figures with Freshman Grady Dick leading the way with 23 points.
Jalen Wilson finished with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Bobby Pettiford Jr. added 13 points, Dajuan Harris Jr. finished with 11 points and Kevin McCullar Jr. added 10 points.
It was the 50th consecutive home-opening win for the Jayhawks.
Kansas will host North Dakota State Thursday night.
