A donation drive and networking event involving several local community groups has been postponed.
Residents had been encouraged to take part in the Unifying Community Causes event Saturday at Tractor Supply Company, including a donation drive for non-perishable food, clothing, toys, hygiene items and pet food, as well as a connection point for resources, job openings and volunteer opportunities and a chance to pitch ideas for investments from local nonprofits.
The drive had been organized by Social Innovation Laboratory, a group organized to “improve social programs, the processes behind them and the passionate individuals who make them possible.” A new date has not been announced and a reason for the postponement has not been divulged.
