The Emporia State soccer team has advanced to the Central Region Championship match after defeating Central Missouri 1-0 Sunday in the semi-finals.
Hannah Woolery scored the lone goal on a header in the 72nd minute of play.+
Emporia State goalie Mackenzie Goen had 6 saves while recording the shutout.
Coach Bryan Sailer said they played for 90 minutes.
The Lady Hornets will face Bemidji State Friday in Bemidji, Minnesota for the chance to advance to the Elite 8.
