Not all heroes wear capes and not all heroes have a name.
Some heroes belong to the Everyday Heroes fundraising campaign- an annual event put on by Hetlinger Developmental Services where anonymous donors can help support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Last year, the campaign secured $20,000, and Hetlinger Developmental Services executive director Jill Burton says this year, they hope to double the amount.
The funds provide residents with opportunities they wouldn’t previously have access to, according to Burton.
