I saw this on FaceBook and thought it was a very positive message for kids and adults too – in our world today that is being hijacked by rude and crude rhetoric coming at us face to face and through transmission sources too many to count.

Some kids are smarter than you,
Some kids have cooler clothes than you,
Some kids are better at sports than you,
IT DOESN’T MATTER.
You have your thing too.
Be the kid who can get along,
Be the kid who is generous.
Be the kid who is happy for other people
Be the kid who does the right thing.
Be the nice kid.
Our children need adults around them to reinforce how special they are just for being polite, nice, generous, and doing the right things. Thanksgiving, when families are together will be a great opportunity to share this message.
