The second rankings from the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association were released Tuesday.
Emporia High’s boys remain ninth in Class 5A.
The Spartans have four wrestlers ranked. Xerarch Tungjaroenkul is ranked first at 150 pounds in Class 5A. He’s also the top-ranked wrestler among all classes at 150. Lukas Hainline is fourth at 138. Davian White is sixth at 165 and Bobby Trujillo is sixth at 190. Trujillo is ranked seventh among all classes at 150.
On the girls side, Emporia High’s Virginia Munoz remains the top-ranked wrestler in 6-5A at 145 She’s also the top-ranked wrestler at 145 among all classes. Kiana Flores-Delgado is ranked sixth at 170. Katinia Keosybounheuang is ranked 10th among all classes at 125.
Areawide, Chase County has two wrestlers ranked. Mitch Budke is ranked third at 157, while Cal Kohlmeier is sixth at 175. Council Grove’s Jace Goodman is ranked sixth at 138.
Burlingame’s Maliyah Lopez top-ranked wrestler at 100 in 4-1A and third among all classes. Burlington’s Johanna Carrasco is sixth at 190.
