Kansas State rallied for a 61-59 win over LSU in the Cayman Island Classic Championship Wednesday.
The game featured 8 lead changes and 4 ties. The Wildcats trailed by 9 at halftime. Kansas State took the lead for good with just over 4 seconds to play. A tying basket was waived off when it was ruled the clock did not start.
Coach Jerome Tang said they played better in the 2nd half.
Markquis Nowell led Kansas State in scoring with 18 points. Keyontae Johnson and Desi Sills both scored 16 points.
With the win the Wildcats are now 6-0 for the season.
