An elderly Emporia woman was hospitalized after a wreck near Hartford on Thanksgiving.
The accident occured at 1581 Road 100, 8.5 miles west of Hartford, just after 1:10 pm. According to Lyon County Deputy Jody Meyers 92-year-old Lola Collinge of Emporia was traveling east on Road 100 in a 2009 Toyota Camry when she lost control of the vehicle.
The Camry then went into the south ditch and struck a metal pipe fence and overturned. Collinge was still inside the vehicle when crews arrived on scene.
She was taken to Newman Regional Health with what are being called non-life threatening injuries. In addition to Lyon County Deputies, Emporia and Hartford-Neosho Rapids fire crews also responded to the scene.

One person was hospitalized following an injury accident near Hartford on Thanksgiving.
Emergency crews from Emporia, Hartford-Neosho Rapids and Lyon County Deputies we’re all called to 1581 road 100, 8.5 miles west of Hartford, just after 1:10 pm. The accident involved a single-vehicle, however, a full crash narrative is pending.
One individual, an unnamed female, was taken from the scene by ambulance to Newman Regional Health with what are being called “non-life threatening injuries.”
