The Kansas Jayhawks have advanced to the Battle for Atlantis Championship game after walking off with a 69-68 win in overtime over Wisconsin Thursday.
Bobby Pettifords basket with time expiring in the overtime won the game for the Jayhawks.
Kansas held a 15 point lead in the 2nd half only to have Wisconsin rally to take a 3 point lead with 23 seconds to play. Kevin McCullar hit a 3 point shot with 12 seconds to play to send it to overtime.
In the overtime there were 5 lead changes and 2 ties.
Jalen Wilson had another double-double with a game high 29 points and 14 rebounds.
Kansas Coach Bill Self said they made enough plays to win the game.
Kansas will play Tennessee in the Championship game. Tennessee outscored USC 73-66. Tip-off is set for 6:30 pm. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 6 pm.
