If you need to find the right Christmas Tree for your home then look no further than the Guion’s Showcase parking lot.
The Flint Hills Optimist Club has once again set up shop for its annual Christmas Tree Lot fundraiser. The fundraiser began Friday morning and club member Bob Burnheide says trees were flying off the lot shortly after opening.
As always, the Optimists have a wonderful selection of trees for purchase.
Five-inch wreaths and garlands by the foot are also available for purchase. Burnheide says they have a little more than 40 additional trees available than the previous year, however, drought conditions in Wyoming, where the trees are delivered from, has led to the selection still not being up to pre-pandemic levels.
Nonetheless, Burnheide says it is best not to wait too long to stop by and pick up your tree as last year they were sold out well in advance of Christmas Eve. The fundraiser will continue while supplies last with all proceeds going to support youth initiatives in the local community.
Tree lot hours are Monday-Friday 5 pm to 8:30 pm, 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays and 1 pm to 6 pm Sunday. For more information find the Flint Hills Optimist Club on Facebook.
