One woman has a preliminary hearing in Lyon County District Court this week after allegedly using a vehicle in a battery case.
Cari Lynn Crook is accused of aggravated battery and driving under the influence following an alleged incident Sept. 3. Other case details are pending.
The hearing is at 10 am Wednesday before Judge Doug Jones. A motion is on the docket to change the hearing date to January due to travel considerations for Crook, who lives in Colorado, according to court documents.
Separately, the court process is getting started in Lyon County District Court for one man accused of aggravated assault and interference with law enforcement.
Armando Ortiz, Junior, is accused of using a black torch lighter and then resisting arrest in an incident Nov. 22. Ortiz is also accused of drug and paraphernalia possession.
A preliminary hearing is set for 3 pm Wednesday before Judge Doug Jones.
