Eight members of the Emporia State volleyball team received academic honors from the MIAA Tuesday.
Sophomore Leah Mach is an MIAA Scholar-Athlete. To be a scholar-athlete, Mach had to have a GPA of 3.50 or better, spent at least two terms at the current institution and also earn All-MIAA honors for that season. Mach was an honorable mention All-MIAA selection.
Mach, along with seniors Megan Stretton, Riley Bernskoetter, Shelby Ebert, graduate student Dorianne Lebron, junior Winny Harris and sophomores Ainslee Stepp and Carleigh Pritchard made the All-MIAA Academic Honor Roll. To be on the academic honor roll, the eight Lady Hornets had to have a GPA of 3.00 and spent at least two terms at their institution.
