Formal charges in a Lyon County child sex abuse case have been amended with a hearing in the case coming Friday.
Harvey Grandstaff, age 65, had initially been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent liberties after at least two incidents involving the same victim allegedly occurring between Jan. 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2012, and another incident allegedly happening this past December. Prosecutors have changed two of the indecent liberties charges to lewd and lascivious counts, one for public sexual relations in the presence of somebody under age 16 and one for exposing himself to somebody under age 16.
The alleged victim was between four and six years old at the time of the alleged lewd and lascivious incidents, according to court documents.
Grandstaff may learn his potential trial dates as part of a pretrial hearing at 2 pm Friday before Lyon County Chief Judge Jeff Larson.
