Emporia High junior Alex Allemang’s kicking duties are continuing during the offseason.
Allemang is heading to the Kicking World 2022 National Showcase to be held Saturday and Sunday in Austin, Texas. He won his invite this past summer at a camp in Kansas City.
Kicking World Owner and Coach Brent Grablachoff says Allemang is only one of two kickers to be chosen to participate in the two-day event. Out of over 1,200 participants, nearly 75 will attend, which according to Grablachoff is among the top 10 percent in the country.
Allemang was named an All-Centennial League honorable mention selection on Thursday at kicker.
The event will take place Saturday and Sunday. Sunday’s portion of the event will be live-streamed from Noon to 4 p.m. on Youtube or www.kickingworld.com/live/
