The Emporia State football scored the games first 28 points and rolled to a 48-27 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State in the Live United Bowl Saturday.
Emporia State Coach Garin Higgins said it was a good way to finish the season.
Braden Gleason threw 5 touchdown passes to lead the offense.
Jaylen Varner had 2 of the touchdown pass receptions. Cory Thomas, Tyler Kahmann and Wil Amos also caught touchdown passes.
The Hornet defense forced 5 turnovers, 2 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries including a scoop and score by Declan Haub.
Senior Cade Harelson was named the games MVP.
The Hornets finish the season with a 9-3 record.
