The annual White Christmas returned for the first time since Covid and was a great hit. Visitors from all over came as snacks and music was enjoyed to celebrate the White family and bring in the holidays.
There were performances by the Emporia High Choir, Emporia State University Flute Choir, and Irene Diaz’s cello students.
Les Lauber President of the Red Rocks Historic Site said that he was shocked at the turnout but very grateful for everyone coming. He sees this event as a way to for everyone in the community to reconnect to the site and celebrates its history.
The Red Rock Historic Site will be starting Saturdays at the Site when they reopen after the winter season as well as some other events that are in the planning stage. To see what the Historic site has coming up check out https://www.kshs.org/p/red-rocks-home-of-the-william-allen-white-family/19569
