It’s another foggy start for part of the KVOE listening area.
Greenwood County is in a freezing fog advisory until 7 am. Chase County was initially included but has since been canceled. Visibility is at or below a quarter-mile and id creating patchy slick spots, especially on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.
If you’re driving and you run into fog, be sure to slow down, use your low-beam headlights and increase the distance between your vehicles and others around you.
Heavy drizzle resembled fog and brought visibility down to two blocks or less in Emporia on Thursday. Dense fog impacted area drivers Wednesday morning.
Light rain was also expected. Unfortunately, it was lighter than first projected:
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.03 inches
*1100 bock of Constitution: 0.05 inches
The KVOE studios had no measurable rainfall.
Early projections had up to half an inch of rainfall before being trimmed to a quarter of an inch. However, rain does appear likely between midnight and sunrise Saturday. Rain also appears likely Monday night through Tuesday.
If you have rain totals, message the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 62-342-5863.
