There’s a lot on tap for the Emporia City Commission’s special meeting at 11 am Monday.
Commissioners will have an executive session related to an unspecified economic development. There is also a public hearing on a possible Community Development Block Grant for Emporian Rick Mitchell’s project inside the old Emporia Gazette building near Sixth and Merchant. Commissioners could also adopt revisions to the city’s Rural Housing Incentive District policy.
The meeting will be at the Municipal Court Room. The next regular meeting for the City Commission will be at 11 am Dec. 21.
Several city matters will be highlighted on KVOE’s Morning Show this week. City Engineer Jim Ubert will update the Street Rehab program and 2023 projects during the Newsmaker segment at 7:20 am Tuesday. City Manager Trey Cocking will discuss plans for a new skate park as part of the Newsmaker 2 segment at 8:20 am Wednesday.
