A man accused of attempted aggravated robbery had his preliminary hearing delayed Thursday because he allegedly failed to appear at the hearing.
A bench warrant was issued for Derek Hill. A new hearing date has not been listed on the state’s online court portal.
Hill was charged with one count of attempted robbery after allegedly trying to take cigarettes from another by force back in mid-September.
Separately, a woman accused in Lyon County District Court of aggravated violations of the state’s offender registration act is now set for pretrial and arraignment next month.
Latasha Ghramm is formally accused with three counts of aggravated violations and one count of a registration violation. She’s accused of failing to report her registration information to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office between March and August 2021, September 2021 and this past February, March and August 2022 and September 2022. The pretrial is at 2 pm Jan. 13.
Ghramm was convicted in 2012 of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Also, court proceedings will resume next year in a drug distribution case that initially included charges of robbery.
Christopher Diaz had his preliminary hearing reset from Thursday to Jan. 25 at the request of defense attorney Chase Miller.
Diaz remains charged with distributing between 25 and 450 grams of marijuana, along with separate counts of possessing psilocybin, hydrocodone and paraphernalia. A count of cocaine possession has been added, but single counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and aggravated assault have been dismissed.
