The Emporia State basketball teams host Northwest Missouri State tomorrow.
The men’s game will be a match-up of ranked teams. Emporia State is ranked 22nd and Northwest is ranked number 1.
Emporia State Coach Craig Doty says they will need to be ready to play.
Junior Mayuom Buom says they will need to be themselves.
The Northwest men take a 21-game winning streak into the game. The last time they lost was to Emporia State last season 76-75.
The Emporia State women will be playing their home opener. Coach Toby Wynn says everyone is looking forward to playing at White Auditorium.
Sophomore Faith Paramore says they may have struggled at times offensively the defense has been good.
Game times are 5:30 for the women and 7:30 for the men. Both games will be broadcast on MIX 104.9. Coverage begins at 5:05 pm.
Also Saturday #8 Kansas hosts #14 Indiana. Coach Bill Self says this will be a good test for the Jayhawks.
Tipoff is set for 11 am. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 9:30 am.
Kansas State plays Nebraska in Kansas City with tipoff at 6 pm. Coverage on Country 101.7FM begins at 5 pm.
Wichita State hosts Oklahoma State. The game will be played at Intrust Bank Arena beginning at 8 pm.
