The Gift of Groceries is helping residents for the second straight year.
The drawing took place at Troy’s Tranys and Auto Repair early Monday afternoon. Co-owner Kandy Dall says she and her husband, Troy, were glad to help.
Residents had a chance to nominate families that could use a $100 gift card, either from Country Mart or Good’s Cash Saver. Twelve families will benefit this year after nine families benefited last year. Nearly 40 names were submitted, more than double the 18 that submitted names for consideration last year.
The names of beneficiaries will remain anonymous.
