Chase County will carry perfect records into 2023 following back-to-back wins over Northern Heights Tuesday night.
The Chase County Girls would hold Northern Heights to single digits in all but one quarter in their 42-29 win over the Lady Cats. Chase County would open the game with a 14-4 run in the first quarter and never trailed taking a ten-point 21-11 lead into the half.
In the second half, Chase County would outscore Northern Heights 21-15 to clinch the win. Chase County freshman Madelyn Wilson led all scorers with 18 points.
Head Coach Amber Rausch wants to see her team maintain momentum in the new year.
Northern Heights had two players in double figures. Freshman Briauhna Pierce and senior Kailyn Schlimme ended the night with 10 points each. With the win, Chase County enters the Christmas break 7-0 on the season. Northern Heights heads into 2023 with a record of 2-5.
In the boy’s game, Chase County jumped out to an early lead and never relinquished it as they downed Northern Heights 67-49.
Chase County would build a 21-point 38-17 lead heading into the half. In the third quarter, Northern Heights would use a 13-2 run to trim the lead to 9, however, a late 5-point swing by Chase County would see the Bulldogs reestablish their double-digit lead they would never give up en route to their seventh straight win on the year.
Chase County had four players in double figures. Senior Pax Vogel led his team with 15 points, junior Aidan Eidman had 14, senior Cooper Schroeder added 13 and junior Collin Monihen had 10.

Northern Heights had two players in double figures. Senior Kolden Ryberg led all scorers with 16 points and junior Cooper Hamlin added 15.
With the win, Chase County improves to 7-0 as Northern Heights falls to 0-7.
