A Lyon County case that started with a count of aggravated kidnapping, among others, is apparently ending with a plea agreement.
Joshua Parrish was initially accused of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic battery and five other charges after an alleged incident in early August. Parrish accepted a plea involving guilty pleas to aggravated domestic battery and criminal restraint, with the other charges being dismissed.
Sentencing is now Feb. 2 at 11 am before Judge Lee Fowler.
Meanwhile, a woman accused in Lyon County District Court of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and other charges will have a pretrial and arraignment hearing next month.
The pretrial at 2 pm Jan. 13 for Amanda Renee Alvarado follows a preliminary hearing Tuesday. Alvarado was charged in early October after allegedly entering a shop building in the 1900 block of Road J and threatening somebody with a pistol.
Besides aggravated burglary and aggravated assault, Alvarado is also charged with single counts of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon and criminal damage.
Also, a preliminary hearing in a Lyon County adult mistreatment case is being delayed until after Valentine’s Day.
Mark Pursfull’s hearing Tuesday was pushed to Feb. 22 at the state’s request.
Pursifull is accused of mistreating a dependent adult betwene Aug. 16-22. He’s also accused of aggravated battery during that timeframe. Further case details have not been divulged.
