Totals by department aren’t announced yet, but one area law enforcement agency is receiving federal funds through the fiscal 2023 appropriations package announced earlier this week.
The Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office is one of over 30 agencies announced by US Senator Jerry Moran on Thursday. Moran is the lead Republican on the US Senate’s Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science.
Over $13 million in new funding is headed to the agencies announced this week.
