Parkview Apartments management is not commenting on statements from tenants saying they spent the bitter cold period last week without running water.
The situation came to light following a social media post by a resident early Friday evening. In the post, a tenant claims “Parkview Apartments hasn’t had running water in most of the units for 48 hours and won’t have running water till Monday the 26th or maybe even after that.” The post says notices were placed on all units in the complex and residents were being “assigned” to specific units for water.
The complex is owned and managed by Eucalyptus Real Estate. KVOE has reached out to both the Parkview offices and Eucalyptus regarding the water situation.
KVOE reached out to city administration Saturday morning to inquire if the complex’s management has reached out for assistance. City administrators say they have yet to be contacted on the matter by residents or apartment management and have no further knowledge of the situation aside from what has been posted to social media. The city says it cannot do anything until it is contacted, however, if the complex were found to be in violation of city housing codes it could be investigated and potentially cited for any and all violations.
This is not the first time Eucalyptus has been at the center of controversy after it was announced in May of 2021 that the agency was close to half a million dollars behind on property taxes on nine different properties in the local community.
