Responsible reveling is the goal for authorities and others with the New Year’s weekend now upon us.
While local authorities are involved in the Taking Down DUI enforcement campaign through Monday, residents struggling with addiction are encouraged to take part in a special New Year’s Eve party organized by Empower House. Administrator Melissa Landis credited Therapy Services for helping to develop the event.
Landis says no addict will be turned away.
A $5 donation at the door is suggested with a 50-50 raffle and a prospect for other raffles during the event, which will be at Therapy Services LLC, 1200 Graphic Arts Suite 100. All proceeds will benefit Empower House Ministries and its work to help women recover from addictions.
