It does not appear as though the dense fog lingering over the KVOE listening area will not fully subside until at least early Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service has extended dense fog advisories for Lyon, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties until 4 am Tuesday. A separate advisory for Chase and Greenwood counties continues until 9 pm Monday.
Visibility remains at or below a quarter mile due to the fog. If you encounter fog while driving, slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the distance between your vehicle and the others around you.

Foggy conditions are now expected almost areawide into the early evening hours.
The National Weather Service has extended dense fog advisories for Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood and Osage counties to end at 6 pm. Advisories were originally set to expire at 11 am before being extended to noon.
Fog has been at or below quarter-mile visibility since around 8 am.
