One man accused of shooting another at an Emporia apartment complex this past summer is back in Lyon County District Court on Thursday.
Shedrick Williams has a pretrial hearing at 2 pm before Judge Lee Fowler.
Williams was charged after Harold Stewart Jr was allegedly shot and robbed of both his car keys and cell phone at the Eastgate Apartments on July 22. Williams is facing single counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and burglary.
Williams may well learn potential trial dates at Thursday’s hearing.
Former co-defendant Keno Hopkins had his case dismissed for lack of probable cause last month.
Separately, a man arrested by Emporia Police on suspicion of attempted robbery has a hearing in Lyon County District Court on Thursday.
Thomas Senna’s pretrial hearing is at 2 pm before Judge Lee Fowler.
Senna is accused of one attempted robbery count after an alleged incident almost a year ago. He was deemed competent to stand trial following a report from Osawatomie State Hospital in October.
Part of Thursday’s hearing is a motion to revoke bond as Senna has allegedly refused to adhere to conditions.
