The city of Emporia and the local area now have a choir dedicated to children.
Director Anna Ryan, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, introduced the choir to the community saying it is an opportunity she has been wanting to bring to local children for quite some time.
Ryan says the choir is a completely free opportunity and is open to all area children between fourth and eighth grade. The choir will meet for its first rehearsal this Thursday at 7 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1508 West 12th Avenue.
Rehearsals will last approximately 45 minutes and will be held once a week for the next eight weeks. Ryan says the rehearsals will all lead up to the choir’s first performances in March.
