The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education has several notable items on Wednesday night’s agenda.
Board members will get an update on school improvement goals and strategies for Jones Early Childhood Development Center administrators and district leaders. Budget and construction updates are planned.
Several board-related agenda items are planned, including separate resolutions to establish the board meeting schedule and extend terms of board officers. Two executive sessions are planned, one for personnel negotiations and one to establish the spring evaluation schedule for Superintendent Allison Anderson-Harder.
On the consent agenda, where several items can be handled with one vote, the board may accept the retirement of Food Service Director Denise Kater and resignation of Dance Coach Morgan Pearson.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert Education Center.
