Love is, soon-to-be, in the air with Valentine’s day just around the corner and the David Traylor Zoo wants to help you grab a unique gift for your special someone.
The zoo is offering a series of unique packages for residents to choose from as a special Valentine’s Day fundraiser. According to Zoo Director Lisa Keith, residents will have three packages to choose from.
Those wishing to purchase a package will need to have their order into the zoo by Feb. 9. To order a package call the zoo office at 620-341-4365.
The Valentine’s Day fundraiser will serve as a precursor to another major fundraiser making its return to the Lyon County Fairgrounds in March. The annual Emporia Friends of the Zoo Roundup Auction will be taking place Mar. 3 at 6 pm inside of the Anderson Building.
Individual tickets are available for the auction at $30 each or residents can purchase a table for eight for $240. For more information find Emporia Zoo on Facebook or visit Emporiazoo.org.
